Come and experience a goat dairy farm tour. Every Sunday afternoon you can join one of our goat dairy farm tours. While on a tour you can pat and feed a baby goat, milk a goat by hand, watch a cheese making demonstration, learn all about goats, and taste some of our delicious gelato and cheese.
Getting up close and personal with a goat is an experience that everyone will enjoy. They are very cute and love to run up and greet you.
If you are thinking “I want a farm to visit near me” then you should know that we are under an hour’s drive from Brisbane CBD. We are a lot closer than you think.
Tours go for approximately one hour.
Tour times are 1:00pm & 2:30pm.
The gates open at 12:45pm. We do not have a cafe on the farm. There is a park opposite the school, less than a one minute drive from our farm.
Prices
Family: $50 (A family ticket covers 2 x adults and up to 6 x children)
Adult: $20 (18+)
Child: $10 (1-17yo)
*Children twelve months and under are free.
We do not accept companion cards or concessions for our scheduled weekend tours or holiday tours. We do accept them for private tours/bus groups during the week but there is a minimum price for a tour. Go to our Bus Groups page to learn more.

Description
Every Sunday afternoon you can join one of our goat dairy farm tours. While on a tour you can pat and feed a baby goat, milk a goat by hand, watch a cheese making demonstration, learn all about goats, and taste some of our delicious gelati and cheese.
Our tours run at 1:05pm, 2:15pm, and 3:25pm. They go for around an hour and are a fantastic family event for all ages.

So much fun for the kids getting to bottle feed and pet the baby goats and milk a nanny goat. Also very interesting and informative for the adults. Loved the goat milk gelato too!

We arrived a couple of minutes early and the tour started right on time, no waiting for latecomers which I think is great! Our daughter (10yo) absolutely loved her time in the pen with the baby goats, they would suck any bare toes they could find (so wear closed in shoes if this could be a problem), they nibbled at shoe laces (no damage – no teeth) and were generally very cute, there were about 10 of them. Younger children were fine with the kids, no problems that I saw. We then got a chance to feed a full bottle of formula milk to the older goats, the goats were very hungry and butted each other to get to the bottle, that was fun for the kids too. We were standing outside their pen, leaning over – even little kids were safe, they couldn’t be knocked over by the hungry goats. We then had a chance to milk a goat, saw a cheese making demonstration and discussed the process and differences between ice cream and gelato and Alex (our guide) was very informative and interesting in all areas. We then got to try two different cheeses and five different gelatos, my daughter loved the chocolate, hubby liked strawberry, I loved the coffee one. There were also vanilla and mint (both yummy). We bought a tub of feta cheese for $5 and a small tub of gelato for $5 to take home. We often go on Sunday day trips all around SEQ, this was definitely one of the best outings we’ve had this year, Diana adored the goats and had lots of time with them (she was allowed to go back in with the babies at the end of the tour, before the next one started), plus it was very interesting to hear about goat’s milk and how it differs to cow’s milk. We booked on the morning of our tour and are really glad we did as our tour was full and with COVID restrictions they couldn’t take more people. This would be a fabulous activity for older grandparents with their grandkids as it’s not too physical, there is always a place to sit down and it doesn’t involve hiking between sections, everything is close to the parking (which was easy and ample). Value for money is as good as you can get and I would say take a few extra $$$ to support their cheese and gelato sales, this is an honest-to-goodness down to earth Aussie farming business and your support will make a big difference to them. I actually think this would make an absolutely brilliant excursion for school kids, it could be tailored to suit their specific learning levels and the kids would absolutely love the bus trip out to Peak Crossing (no idea whether the operators would be interested in weekday tours, as it is Sunday afternoons only at this stage). For well under $50 for a family of 2 adults and a stack of kids … you can’t get better value for money for a fun and educational afternoon. Go, you’ll be glad you did!
